First time driving stick...on an S2000
I've made a post search and I saw other people saying they learned stick on the S2000. If you were one of these people, how did you get past the test drive? Did you guys tell the previous owner/dealer that you didn't know how to drive stick? Thanks in advance!
YEAH!! but i was a buyer and they knew that i was going to buy something! i was planning to buy the rsx type-s but they sold it, then the civic si but didnt want to look to asian, then the v6 accord coupe. finally the s!
^^ lol civic si= "too asian" ahah.
i learned on my s2, but i've had some seat time in an rsx s, and an mr2.
i had my brother in law test drive it, and he said it was all good, so we just pulled the trigger.

ohh ok so its a good idea to have a "veteran" stick driver to test for you?
someone who knows what a clutch is supposed to feel like...
and to confirm the shifting doesnt feel awkward...
you dont want to leave anything to chance when buying a car.
Let a car enthusiast friend who has been driving stick for a few years test drive it with you in the passenger seat.
I learned manual on the S.
Don't ever give up. When you are first learning its like holy crap! This is hard! And once you get going you get really nervous at stop lights because you might stall on first.
After a month of driving you will probably never stall.
Start out in a parking lot for about a week with a veteran helping is my advice on learning to drive stick.

Get someone else to drive it on the test drive to ensure that the clutch and tranny is fine. I learned enough on friends' cars so I was able to test drive it myself. But, I'm lucky there were no problems since I wouldn't really have known what to look for.
