Took just over a month.

Some mofo stole my right/passenger chrome Honda tire cap and deflated the tire half way last night!

WTF!!!!! Did they think that was cool?

Sorry, just needed to vent.

I guess it could have been much worse. For those of you who have lost much more, I feel your pain. Just knowing someone else touched my S2K makes me sick.

BTW, a half deflated tire makes the car feel like a hovercraft, especially at VTEC. Noticed the problem quickly to say the least.

 

sorry man.. that sucks... are you sure it was stolen? maybe the cap fell off? maybe when you hit something and the air got out? dunno... i had center caps on my aftermarket wheels too, and one was off. i thought someone took them, but i think it just fell off over time..

dkhl, no it was stolen and the tire was deflated. I have a habit of walking around the car before I get in and all was good the night before.....except for this morning (late for work). The first VTEC tipped me off. Thanks for helping me vent and get this out of my system.

BTW, I noticed we're the same age. I lived in Richmond/Midlothian during high school. Did you go to CloverHill or live in Brandermill or WoodLake? I'm sure no one else wants to hear about a potential reunion so just PM if you did...still have a lot of good friends there and visit every now and then.

 

Since I was in Tampa M-W of this week it was me I saw your car and figured I need the centercap Kidding of course...again, I saw no S2000's in Tampa

Beware of Passat owners. (Passat GLX is my other car). We often steal the S2000 antenna to replace the ugly VW roof antenna'; S2K antenna is shorter and smoother, but screws right in place, gives the same reception and looks much nicer. I bought mine for $20 from a dealer, but was sorely tempted to liberate one from a nice yellow S2K in the dealer's lot.

 

speaking of vandalism,

my G/F car. a 2001 toyota MR2 spyder was parked outside my apartment one night and at about 3:30 in the morning we hear a commotion outside...keep in mind that i live in an OK part of town...there is a fight going on in the lot outside. I run downstairs to see what is happening, but by the time i get there it is too late...two assholes used her car as a prop in their fight... one guy got thrown on the hood, the door was dented in, the window was cracked, scratches were everywhere, my G/F was crying and screaming at them.....long story short, my neighbor and i kept them there until the cops came and they ended up paying for the whole repair out of pocket. Good thing my s2000 was safely in my garage .
