-Running mis-matched tires on the S2000 is a no no.
-Pushing the S2000 on cold tires and cold pavement with summer tires is a no no.
-Abrupt input mid-turn in the S2000 is a no no (say, shifting from 1st to 2nd).
-Lifting throttle while fishtailing in the S2000 is a no no.
Drive safe.
You'll soon learn to appreciate the magic of RWD. The first time I ever saw it's mystic power in action was when a mustang was pulling out of a Dunk N Donuts parking lot.
He was making the turn onto the main road and there wasn't another car in sight, so he floors. The next thing I heard was the incredibly high pitched screams rubber makes when it's being ripped off of a tire. He doesn't let off the gas, and for the next 20 seconds he's going down the street almost completely sideways! I thought my jaw was going to be stuck in the down position.

So many people don't get this. Also, why did you need to shift into 2nd during a u-turn?

Oh yeah, as others said, welcome to RWD.

Should be abole to do that in 1st gear with a little gas.
whenever I do a uturn I make sure I keep it in 1st..... when I am about three quarters into the turn I punch it to intentionally drift the rear end.... It still has not gotten old.... I wonder if it ever will? anyone? anyone?

As far as not shifting when cornering goes, I guess that's good advice IF the driver in question can't shift without upsetting the car. It is quite possible to downshift while trail braking without upsetting the car; The shifts simply have to be smooth, and coordinated with the other controls.
The big issue here was the back tires. Get the right tires on the back of the car, keep them inflated to the proper pressures, shift smoothly (or if you can't shift smoothly don't shift while cornering), remember that the throttle is not an on/off switch, and this kind of thing can be avoided.
If you shift with the intent of tossing the tail a little, and over-do it, that's what's known as a driver error.
Love FR cherish FR make sure you never go back to FF .... I cant see life being fun without rear wheel drive.... BTW is anyone here up for a Miraleste run tonight? I am itchen to balden up my tires.
