I was going to do a U-turn.
Ingredient #1 for a drive about to go bad.

half way through the turn, I shift into 2nd and then the back fishtails
Ingredient #2 for a drive getting worse.

...goes on for about 5 sec.
If it takes you that long to realize that something bad has happened, pull over, park, and STEP AWAY FROM THE CAR! This kind of reaction time should be restricted to the bumper cars ride at the fair grounds.

It was about 30 degrees.
Ingredient #3 for a drive that's gone bad.

Maybe the tires weren't warmed up.
YA THINK??????

I have 1cm of tread left on the rear.
1 cm, huh? I highly doubt it. Even a brand new SO2 won't have 10mm of tread. Do you know how much 1cm is?

im only 18 and still growing bud
Ingredient #4 for a drive gone bad, but at least you can admit it and at least you seem to understand your limitations.

i drove a Crown Vic before the S. Thats RWD
I hope you are kidding here. A Crown Vic bares no resemblance to an S2000. It weighs what? Borderline TANK? It's how long? Borderline Cruise Ship? What's it's weight distribution? Borderline Dolly Parton? Did it have some kind of limited slip diff? Was it a manual transmission? Comparing a Crown Vic to an S2000 is like comparing the USS Enterprise to a roll of toilet paper. Both circle Uranus looking for Clingons. Other than that ...................................

Were you on the highway to the danger zone when this happened? You don't think a "3-4 pound difference" is a problem with your rear tire pressure?

Shameless bragging here. Speaking of crown vics (or in this case the Town car). Managed to do this -- open rear end and all...

I rent the towncars at least once a month just to burn off the tires. More fun than the Subaru's and Caddys anyway.

Man... you must've been seriously hauling to lay down skidmarks that long! Any brake fade?

No that was a creeping burnout. Foot on the gas, one on the brakes, wait till they both spin and modulate the brakes for a nice long one.
