Fixing a door ding.
Hey guys, sorry I forgot to post back with the details.
Anyway, the dent guy came on Tuesday. Apparently he was the president of DentPro, as what the business card he gave me said, so I'm pretty sure if he couldn't do it, then no one else would be able to either, let alone myself if I'd done it. Turns out...... he was not able to fix it with PDR.
The closest he could get to was an inch away front the dent, with the dent meeting right where the door hinges.
All hope isn't lost, though. Fortunately he told me there's another method to get the dent out, and that involves drilling a hole on the door, pulling it out, then filling and painting the hole. He noticed the paint peeling off on my front lip too, and told me they will get that repainted as well if I wish. The best part is that of all the 3 places so far (Local body shop, Dent Doctor, DentPro), DentPro quoted me the cheapest price, $385 for the dent and an extra $285 to repaint the lip. In contrast, the local body shop quoted me $600 and $425 respectively.
Now if I was credit card happy, I'd be all and about, but I'm trying not to go over 30% of my limit. Stupid tuition and book fees.

I guess I'm a wuss but, unless I was confident I could do this job properly, I wouldn't touch it myself. I think it would be worth paying the dent guy for his tools and experience. Paint damage is a real possibility around a dent and the dent guys know how to keep the paint from cracking and requiring expensive paint repair. I think you should be able to have this dent repaired for under $100.

Our local shop charges about 75 dollars to take dents out and he does top notch work. 500-600?! Hell I'd just buy a new panel for that price!

Here's a picture from the last dent day that we had. This isn't my car but this is an example of the work from Mike @ Dentmasters:
