FlexSeal Soft Top Repair
First stitch it, then use (black)silicone smoothly across the stitches and their holes in small amounts, then use 3 coats of plastidip on the exterior. Interiorly, apply a patch using silicone, plastidip the side of the patch that won't be exposed in the cabin prior to install, I haven't had a leak from the patched spot in over a year, when washing and drying the car, just carefully wipe over the spot and you're good
After some up-downs with the FlexSeal, do not just spray it on. I had a couple holes and smaller abrasions and the spray on holes are cracking and falling apart in general. For the abrasions I dabbed it with the Flexseal on a shirt, no direct spray. It seems to hold up a lot better for not being caked on.
Again: Direct spray = bad
Dabbed on = good

My soft top is starting to tear a bit on the corners now and was wondering if anyones had luck with the flex seal or newer products now that its been over six years. I was going to put a patch over the areas but it's not too much of a visible tear although you can see a little bit of light peaking through the fabric (at least I can cause I know it's there). Any input would be much appreciated, thanks!
I tried using another product by the same manufacturer as the flex seal...flex tape.
I put it in 2 places, one where there wasn't much folding of the top during up/down operations and the other where there was a lot of movement of the top material.
In the spot where there's a lot of movement of the material, I put the tape both on the outside and inside of the tear.
In the area where there wasn't too much folding of the top, it held up for awhile but then the edges started coming up.
In the other area, because of the folding, the tape moved and the tear ended up being exposed again. And 1 piece of the tape on the inside came off and stuck to the seat and when I tried to remove the tape, it actually took a dime sized section of the seat cover with it!
In both places, under the heat of August sun, the glue from the tape started to melt and run down the side of the top!
Bottom line, I wouldn't recommend this if you care about how the top looks and/or you are using it in an area where the top folds a lot. I personally didn't care about the look because I only drive the car with the top down (unless I get caught in an unexpected storm) and I was having my top replaced so this issue would only exist short term for me. I would never do this if you're planning on keeping the top for an extended period of time.
