The Ebay key was an epic fail for me. It'll crank but taking it out was a bitch.

For those of you who are using the previously mentioned AP1 eBay flip key...

How is it holding up? Is the case and everything still intact? I am particularly wondering about the keychain loop at the top (the chrome piece) because it appears to be plastic.

Also, how is your remote range? The range on the stock AP1 fob is pretty impressive (20+ yards). Have you retained this distance or is the new case limiting in its range?

Mine is doing just fine after ~6 months. It's had its share of falls, and even survived a trip through the washing machine. The keychain loop in question is metal, and though the silver has worn a bit as a result of the falls, it is still entirely passable. The only fault I can find with materials is that the plastic of the case itself isn't the most durable; I've had to sand down several dimples from run-ins with the pavement, and the two halves aren't completely flush around the base of the key (a result of turning the key in the cylinder).

As for remote range, I feel that it is largely the same. You may lose a bit, but not enough to be noticeable on a regular basis.

The link above is for AP1 Key. I'm don't think that will work on AP2 since the key cylinders are different.
