i stopped caring about this since my stupid keyless entry's range is incredibly limited. i literally have to be next to the car for the doors to unlock. but the product above looks promising

it says that there are 5 2 button w/ panic, and then 5 3 button with panic.

i'd assume the 3 button layout is the layout we have on our key fob... too bad the picture only shows the 2 button w/ panic

also what about the immobilizer?

Looks like this will be a lot easier to make into a s2k flip key.

looks like this one
I think it doesn't work, someone already post it in another post.
If this is the one from accord. it will not be a direct fit

I found a potential flip key option. There is a source in China for "433 MHz" Civic and CR-V keys that would fit inside a flip key housing.

However, the Civic and CR-V keys only have lock and unlock buttons. Would people be ok with this? I know I never use the panic, but the trunk pop button is useful.

Here are the keys:

And here is the housing:

The only thing is the keys are around $23+shipping, but there is a minimum order of 5. So if the frequency is not correct, I'd be out around $125.

Would anyone be interested in a flip key if the only working buttons were lock and unlock?

I'm very interested in the 3 button flip key.

They have this one with the panic button as well. Upon closer inspection of the keys on the site, they seem to be of only okay quality, but I'd be very interested and willing to chip in for one if someone can order the min of 5 and understands the PC boards well enough to see it'll work. If it works, awesome!

This one's really nice too, although it has Toyota on it, I'm sure it can be sanded off and engraved with Honda.

I don't think those will work. The only reason why the combo I show might work is because the 2-button remote/key comes in our frequency. All the other Honda keys are 313/315 and who knows what the Toyota keys are.

So the two button keys are the only option.

I prefer the shell I pictured because it's based on the Acura TL flip key and the horizonal flip is probably better for our cars because that's the way all our locks are designed.

Only the 2 button remote, huh? I know it's extremely trivial, but I do care if there's a trunk release button on my remote.

Seems like you're well informed of the details pertaining to key swapping. I look forward to seeing what will come of this.

Well that's why I'm asking... I would prefer the trunk button too. The panic button I never use, but I use the trunk pop all the time. Otherwise I wouldn't be as hesitant about it.

I def want a key but would have to have the trunk pop button as well. Panic I have never used before.
Hate having the separate key fob thing and the key. I piece would be so much better.
