err ah Utah S2K, sorry bud, HIDs may not have a filament but bulb life is quoted to be about 3000 hours for after-market HID systems. That is pretty short of forever, unless you know something we don't know.

if you want to put fog lights in the fake air ducts. go to your nearest BMW dealership and pickup a set of X5 fog light. then go to the hardware store anf pickup a 2" or 21/4 hole bit. Drill the hole in the center then drill the hole for the mounts. then wire it to your driving light. the fog light will turn on with you headlights
