Default "Foot work" Where is left leg?

Just curious, when you drive, is your clutch foot in the air/on the pedal? Or is your heel resting on the floor and the tip of your foot on the clutch? Everyone makes fun of the way I drive... because I keep my foot in the air, and it doesn't rest until I am done with the clutch.

I tried to drive with my heel on the floor, like your gas foot... but for the cluthc it feels like a pushing motion more that the stepping motion of the gas pedal...just curious if anyone else drives like me...

I'm like you. Whenever I tried to keep my left heel on the floor and depress/release clutch pedal, I can't do it smoothly... Any advice?

I'm pretty sure I hover too. People say I sit too close to the pedals...whatever.

My clutch foot is off the ground too when I shift. I tried shifting with my heel on the ground, but I didn't like that at all... I have much more control with my foot "hovering".

i learned with my foot on the floor, so when i try hovering now it isn't smooth at all. so i guess i'm the first to say it's way easier resting my heel on the floor.

For those who have their heal on the floor: How do you manage to overcome the clutch travel? Whenever I try it, most of the time, I find myself not competly depressing the clutch.

Definitely have to STEP on the clutch, not use my ankle to work it. If I'm not using the clutch though, foot is on the dead pedal where it should be.

Kids, don't keep your foot on or above the clutch pedal when not using it! Terrible habit to get into (I used to do it...I know).
