I have owned several Miatas and now have the Honda for the past 4 years. For me nothing beats light weight and great steering, the Honda is 400 pounds heavier and the feel from the steering sucks zebra dlck compared to the Mazda. i like the miata but i wouldnt say that its a japanese supercar...
i WOULD however say that the S can be considered a supercar IF it had more torque. but because my S kept up with a turbo charged AWD beast which is the lancer evolution 9... i'd say that its close to being a supercar... not totally there yet... i just feel that my stock transmission needs to be adjusted... for better acceleration... to get that 160 lb/ft sooner... or maybe i need an ECU reflash...
but getting back on topic... the miata and S really dont have a lot in common.
