Formation of KY/So.IN group???
Hey all,
I have a very twisty run that goes from Sellersburg Indiana towards Charleston briefly, through Memphis Indiana, past Salem, and then goes to Greenville- which is very close to I64 and would serve as a good end point since KY natives can take I64 across the river and Indiana people can take 64 over to I65. Its all back roads, smooth pavement and twisty galore. Hondafan- I know that the knobs has some twisty routes that are probably better than this but I've also seen more traffic in the floyds knobs. This route does cross the knobs too. In all, the run is about 1:30 to 2 hours long. Its hard to judge because when I took it we got stuck for around 20-30 minutes where a truck had caught on fire and the firemen stopped traffic. In that time, all of maybe 6 cars lined up behind us.
If you guys are interested in this, let me know. I've pulled up Expedia Streets on the computer and traced through much of the route on it. The drive was very fun, scenic, with plenty of adrenaline milking curves and I drove most of it in 2nd and 3rd gear. I didn't see a single cop on the route- though there are a couple places on it where I've seen then in the past. I've been wanting to do it again.
Anyway, let me know because I'll have to get drive it again since the first time it was just blind driving without a map (just took off in one direction and guessed which turns to take).
BTW: There is a Kentucky SCCA meet coming up on 6/30 at Bowman field and driving school coming up 7/27 at Churchill Downs. I recommend both. I'm planning to go to the event on 6/30. Anyone can drive in it. For details, see: http://www.kyscca.org/

Hot Dog - Way to go Bryan!!!!!!!
Sounds like a winner to me, though it would be nice if it was maybe an hour or so longer. Surely we can find a means to lengthen it to a total sufficient so we can drive for a couple of hours, then stop for a lunch and then a bit more driving to end of run. Any any event, I don't care if it is only a half hour, I'll be there. Let's jump on this and set a date ASAP.

Hey guys, I have since sold my 2001 Spa Yellow Pearl S2000 so I could get financed on a larger house for my wife and I. However, I am still burning up the streets in one of honda's finest. I own a very clean all original 1997 Acura Integra Type R. I live on the east side of Louisville, on the line between Crestwood and Ancorage. I know I dont have an S2000 anymore, but would really enjoy meeting some of you guys and seeing some S2000's, that is if anyone is interested in seeing a 97 ITR? Just let me know
Well. . . I goofed. I should have realized that lots of folks would have already planned something for a three day weekend. A number of you guys have told me just that, so maybe it would be better to move the run to the end of July.
What say we plan on Sunday, 7/28/02???
