So it's an 2004 AP2 Black on black for 12995 with 79k miles. It shows in the pics and the info. the guy put down that it's been a little bit modified I'm scared that it's been abused a little bit or not, I dont want to drive 6hrs and be dissapointed and let down of the vehicle, I'm just being careful and wanting to get the best S out there "used" for me lol

This is what the dealership stated :

Here are the pics. Let me know from your past experineces and what you think about this one. There is only 1 thing holding me back from going to get it and that is my civic that is my DD but it's going for sale right now I need to get rid of it asap b/c there is too many good deals on the AP2s latly. All input is appreciated thank you for looking.

First thing I saw was the dirty engine bay and the mods. I agree with you that mods means the car was probably driven hard. For that price or a little more you could get the same car with half the miles. 6 hours is a lot to see that car.

yea i agree if it's dirty i usually want to pass. mods don't "always" mean it's driven hard, but i guess an intake might be more of a sign than like lowering springs. but yea it's a good price but i would still pass. if someone is selling seriously i believe they can clean it up real good.

My advice is to post this on a local part of S2Ki and see if someone is close and can check it out for you...

Yes I agree the paint could use a buff job, the engine bay can be cleaned up. Most people don't wash their engine bays b/c they're probably scared of getting water into the spark plugs and stuff like that and getting something messed up. But the top seems to be in a good shape. I'll try to post this on the local part of s2ki maybe someone will look at it and check it out. And I think it has coilovers, I think "Tein" b/c you can see a little bit of green on the engine bay where the suspension is.

who wants to drop serious dough on a car thats been beaten???

If I were you id stay away, that car looks like its been abused and wrung out. The paint definitely needs a buff job, its got an AP1 spark plug plate (is it an F20 or F22$) and its got suspension mods. Im probably just too anal but a modified car in my eyes is actually worth less than a stock one.
