Default Found very cheap S2000 please help..

Hi guys I found an 07 S2000 with 69k miles for 7.5k...

The price seems way too good to be true, the guy said in his listing that his wife is divorcing him and he needs the money asap to avoid her getting his money. I dont know.

Anyway, if the car actually exists and the guy is legit, what stuff can I do to make sure I dont get screwed and make sure it is legit...? I am just weary about the price.

like they say...if its too good to be true....

Story does not make too much sense. Plus i'm sure he can trade his car into any dealership and walk out a few grand on top

I cant believe there is much good going to come out of this deal for you. when something seems too good to be true it usually is. take it to a mechanic and have it examined before parting with any cash.

7.5k is almost a third of what he could get if the car was clean and if he waited for the right/willing buyer.

Like myclue already pointed out, seller could easily get 13k or more at any dealership in the US on any given day.

Is he from New Jersey? He's selling a Grand Prix white on CL?

Obvious scam. A salvage title same year mileage S would cost over twice that. He'd get at least double that trading it in anywhere.

The story for why he is selling doesn't hold water. Very good odds it's a scam.

The same rules apply as when looking at any s2000. Read the stickies in this forum about what to look for when buying an s2000. Those are very detailed and give you all the info you will ever need.

If you want to know if this particular car is a good deal, please post with a link to the actual FS ad in the Official is this car worth it thread.
