Found what could be the one hopefully
The "one" is of course is the unicorn GPW CR which will never be realized so the "one" is now zero accident example OEM as possible. I do appreciate the points that everyone has made so far & unfortunately I am unable to lay eyes on it myself so I'm looking into a 3rd party to inspect the vehicle. With what I have seen in the pics so far I'm ok with overspray from the panting of the brake calipers & I too am concerned about what else the previous owner/s were half ass about. The car is pretty much stock with the exception of the radiio, subwoofer & those horribly spayed brake calipers.

If the salt exposure + the calipers and that subwoofer doesn't put you off the $22K asking price...then you're doing the right thing by getting it inspected.
I couldn't pay that price for a salted S2000. But again...that's me.
There's probably better deals on the S2ki marketplace.

You're most likely going to run into some mild rust issues on this car. Rusted suspension bolts when u try for an alignment...things of that sort.

Of course I would like the car to be completely stock, the minimal things that have been done to this vehicle beyond the brake caliper paintjob murder I was planning to do anyways with the exception of the subwoofer. The price is what it is & as much as I would like to pay less then the listed price I feel the price is within the market for this vehicle.
I think even if this car was located in sunny FL it's entire life there would still be some corrosion/rust on some bolts.

If you're happy, then we're all happy, brother.
But...no...an S2000 that has not exposed to salt looks a LOT better than this car underneath. I've owned a few S2000's and worked on about a million of them.
My 20 year old S2000 has always been a Chicago area car - stored properly in winter, but driven in rain...hell even driven cross country and tracked for 13 years. Even the header bolts are clean from rust.
I've also owned cars from actual sunny Florida...
If you're good with the rust....then good! But factually...
The car in the photos has been driven in salt. There's salt brine damage to the aluminum and all the zinc plating from the bolts is gone.

Car was originally from FL, 2nd owner had it in the midwest so that's probably when it was exposed to the road salt. I've busted my knuckles enough on FL cars & have seen them look worse then this car.
Thank you for your insights from what you could see just from some pics & I will report back what the inspection finds.
The top does have one area that looks to have had a rip & it was repaired. The driver seat looks to be in very good condition from what I can see in the pics I was provided today.
Interior looks good overall.
Top looks very FL though lol.
Maybe... "Florida man parks roadster on ocean shore" is the reason for the salting.
Hope the appraisal comes back to your satisfaction! good luck with the process

The damage on the top is not a big concern because this will be a Sunday car & a hardtop is probably going to the first mod done to the car. I was planning to get the hardtop & remove the entirety of the soft top. Speaking of hardtops, I need to do some research on them.I love the looks of the Spoon one of course, always have ever since seeing it in pics as well in person.

I do miss the ease of putting the top down and cruising around, letting everyone see how GD handsome I am.
But...the look of the car with a hard top is perfect.
