Good point, I myself am not familiar with the undercarriage of the S. The last pic is the best pic to see where the points of contact that were used to lift the car up.

I agree, am happy with the condition of the driver seat.

Couple of things have taken place since my last post:
Got a call from the salesperson on Tuesday morning that another out of state person put down a deposit on the car sight unseen, brave.
Got a call from same salesperson on Wednesday that person's financing fell through & they had said they would contact back if the car did not sell.
After filling out the online loan application & speaking with the finance guy, they agreed to a refundable deposit pending me getting financed. I am also working on trying to secure financing myself & the first place doesn't sound good due to the age of the car. The banks the dealer works with will not finance me since I am out of state as well as they are probably working with local banks & they are a smaller local car dealer, Now IDK if them being a smaller local dealer is having an impact on that coupled with them working with local banks.
Today I will be working on trying to secure financing, if you have any tips that could help then fire away.

I will be flying out to the dealer since maps said it was 992mi away from my place, going to make the drive back over two days. I have a friend in Atlanta who I will be staying with for the night on Monday.

Booked my plane ticket this morning & got insurance for the car yesterday.

Right on. Seeing and driving it would be the way I'd go too.

I've utilized a personal loan for older car purchases before.

Idk what kind of interest rates are available on car loans for cars that are more than 10 years old at this time.

I would still assume that, despite the car's old age....the interest rate for the personal loan are higher than that of a car loan ....but the personal loan has lesser hassles for approval on older cars.

And you receive the car's title right away with a personal loan. So selling the car before the loan terms out is easier.

Just another avenue to consider for whomever is reading this.

Lots of Interstate driving back to (I'm guessing) mid-Latitude Florida. We'll need photos and the travelogue, or course, next week. Safe trip.

You know the drill: Check the tire pressure before you start and the same the next morning -- replacement tires are probably not in stock at Walmart. Check the oil level but this car should not burn any oil. I can get about 300 miles on a tank of 93 Octane on the highway. 25 - 27 mpg-ish.

If the car is running well and you're making good time in good weather (and decent tires) get off I65 about Cave City KY and cut the corner down to Chattanooga and bypass the entire Nashville area. State and older federal highways. A shorter distance and about the same time factor and much more interesting than that same concrete road you see forever on I65. Drag out Google Maps to see this. You'll get to see more interstates once you hit Georgia and (much) more traffic when you get near Atlanta.

Hope the AC works well. Went out for dog food today in the S2000 roof down. Came back roof up and the AC on MAX. And Richmond is a long ways north of Florida.

I have another one of my cars up F/S & willl use most that money to pay down the principal on the loan. I'm looking to pay off the car by the end of the year in 12 months so the term of the loan(60 months). Interest rate is not the best, not overly concerned since my plan is to pay the car off as fast as possible & there is no prepayment penalty.

1st stop will be pick up some painters tape for the front end & the car is being inspected before my arrival to the dealer. I was concerned about the MPGs because of the length of the drive, I don't push the speed limit on long drives. It's not worth the hassle & lower MPGs. Thanks for the interstate tips, will definitely check it out. Oh I know all too welll about Atlanta taffic.

At 75 - 80mph Interstate speeds the car will run at nearly 4000 rpm is 6th gear -- a little concerning for guys used to big V8s lumbering along at half those revs. Just how it rolls. But the engine is on the "economy cam" all the way up to 6000rpm in stock form; and even if the "Fuel Me Now!" light comes there's still about 50 miles of fuel remaining. I usually need 10 gallons to fill the 13 gallon tank when the gauge points to E. Fuel should not be a concern. From your owner's manual:
Your vehicle is designed to operate
on premium unleaded gasoline with a
pump octane of 91 or higher. Use of
a lower octane gasoline can cause
occasional metallic knocking noises
in the engine and will result in
decreased engine performance. Use
of a gasoline with a pump octane less
than 87 can lead to engine damage.
I had to use a bit of 87 octane one afternoon along the Ohio River in SE Ohio and didn't notice any noises the few miles I drove it until I fount 93 Super at Shell.
