will your insurance premium go up if you call in to claim this?

since this is an hit and run, if you dont catch the guy who hit you, therefore insurance cannot make a claim on the other person's insurance and meaning your insurance will have to pay for it, so i think they might raise your rate.

comprehensive claims are not supposed to raise your rates. however, insurance companies are in the business to make money, so i wouldn't be surprised if that factors in somewhere...i wouldn't know, though.

Depends on your insurance company. Maybe a janky small one would.. I've had a broken window claim once and about a year ago I had a hit and run that resulted in a total loss and my rates didn't go up.

If you claim that another car hit you, then they will call it collision. Two cars = collision, not comprehensive. I've gone down that route.

that sucks man, I always hate to hear crap like that. INsurance shouldnt go up, but i believe it is different with different companies and policy. When I had my insurance policy explained t me by the people at my insurance company, they said anything hit and run and any not at fault accident would not raise my rates. I would call and find out though to see if yours is the same or different.

yes im going to get a quote to see if its worth making a claim. If the damage is around 500-700 dollars than im just going to cough out money and fix it my self since my deductible is $500. Sucks, i just bought my car like under a month ago and now this. Now some mods are pushed back because of this! Hurts. Plus i feel like my car has been violated!! I just hope the when the damages is repaired the paint will look like stock or else i dont even want the car anymore.
