A wise man once told me that just because you can make the payments, doesn't mean you can afford it.

sickestS2k00, thanks, you've probably been the most optimistic out of everybody that's posted something on this thread. Not that what everybody else was saying might not be true for certain people, but they pretty much made it sound like my friend won't have a chance in Hell in keeping this car. My friend sounds very much like you, and is very determined to keep this car, and is willing to work his ass off to keep the car. He knows what sacrifices he will have to make for right now to make the payments, and is very willing to make those sacrifices. Thanks for the words of wisdom.

Nice looking S2K. As long as he knows how to manage his $, he'll be fine. Although with gas prices going through the roof every week, it's gonna cost an arm and a leg to fill her with premium. Can you guys believe these prices? What happened to all that oil in IRAQ? Geez, start pumping it already.

People do some CRAZEE shit for cars. But, if his mother is the safety net, screw it and go for it! I wonder how long it will be before he drops out of college to get another job to pay for mods! You can kiss this college degree goodbye. Don't you usually get the nice car after college? Must be a rich family is my guess. Ignore me, I'm just jealous as hell. Wish I had an S2000 when I was in college.

ralpers right crixtala. ur friend just got the car, he should take it easy on her. forget the exhaust and stuff for now. when i bought my car first, i tested it out to see how it feels to just pay the payments every month, cuz he doesnt wanna rush to start buyin parts for it. i wasnt even ever gonna get an exhaust for this car but i just bought one cuz i got sold on how light and nice it was. im glad im sorta an inspiration here. i mean, i hope everything works out with ur friend. you just gotta be motivated.
