Your choice! My wife claims I drive like I was still in high school despite our daughter graduating from high school 8 years ago! I don't need rookie cops stopping me for something as stupid (and simple) as failure to display a front tag.

I read the local weekly paper which has a "police blotter" section and other than the obvious drunk drivers the drug and warrant arrests come from no front license plates and missing lights including the license plate light. An excuse to stop you with no other probable cause.

All true. If you have nothing else on you (not DUI or felony warrants) it should not be a big deal. In CA it is $10 for the ticket and proof of plate installation or $20 for the ticket and leaving it off.

You can have a magnetic holder, easy to make using super magnets from big box hardware store, so you can remove at will. Fits nice inside radiator intake so you have no brackets on bumper itself.

Around here, they mostly use no seatbelt for the same thing. Chance to screen for real criminals.

Someone makes (made?) a motorized front plate mount so the "Look" can be maintained but changed in a matter of a second or two.

No doubt the car looks better without a front plate. I'm not worried about arrest warrants and illegal stuff in my cars (no flies on me!). I just don't need the hassle of stopping to explain my lack of a front license plate or light bulbs, etc. And I consider the speed limit signs to be advisory and have been known to run faster and don't want Ohio cops to think I'm from Pennsylvania (easy pickings for the Highway Patrol).

I bought mine last month with no front plate holder and just plugs. MN is a front plate state, so I searched and bought a screw type holder that screws in the tow ring adapter thing to the left of the usual plate location. Finally got my plates in the mail today and installed it. I'll take a pic tomorrow. My xpel installer even placed a small piece of expel on that little removable piece that now sits in the glove box.

Front plates look so goofy! Love your new ride. We are no front platers for life. If we get a used car that had a plate we promptly clean it up.

Only reason for a front plate is for radar. Criminals normally drive away forward not in reverse.
