Default Front grille of a different design

I agree with those that have added a front grille, that the stock set-up does seem to leave the radiator open to damage. I don't like the look of any of the grilles I've seen however. Has anyone seen a protector mounted behind the louvers. I don't want to cover up those black lateral fins. Also, with the grille mounted in front of the fins, how on earth do you clean/polish them? Also, is air flow restricted to any noticeable degree? Could I position one of the current grilles behind the louvers? Would they fit or just flop around? I don't like modding. I love bone stock. Just that this seems to need attention before I need a new radiator.

Not sure if a grille is on the market that goes behind the stock one,but I bet you could find some type of mesh at a Home Depot and install it behind the stock grille without much of a problem.

Have you seen my mesh (2mm plastic/fiberglass)? It's installed just in front of the rad and A/C cannister and is held on by the top fasteners that hold the air guide on. If you haven't, I can post pics.

Looks like a pretty cool design Viper, pull it out, wash off the bugs and the radiator stays nice and clean.
