Default Roof well mats

The search engine is down and wanted to ask a few questions about the roof well mats, please post any pics if you can.Do they really protect against scratches and what kind did you order, also somewhere I saw what looked to be a black foam tube that was placed where the window goes into its compartment, whats the name of this and does anyone use it.At this time I am looking at mats for my car all around and anything else that can protect the interior.Tell me what you liked and didnt like please.

well while Im here any info on clear front light bulbs or new lights errr fancy ones, please post pics and links to info.Hopefully I will be a real owner later this week, so I can stop drooling on my keyboard looking at all yours

Roof well mat helps prevent the dust settled in the roof well from scratching the inside of the plastic window. That, and it looks better too.

The tube allows the window to "rol" instead of fold, which causes a creease in the window on many cars. I just use a towel which works just as well and my top is down all the time and no really objectionable crease.

Hope you get your car soon!

if your car is new then you might not need the towel...

If you have the glass rear window, you shouldn't need anything. The mat and the tube is there for the sole purpose of protecting the "plastic" window. The mat and roll will do nothing for you.

what xviper said.

you dont NEED any additional stuff if you are getting a 2002 w/ glass rear window, but i am sure Muz will still be happy if you want to buy a mat to make the window bay look nice!
