I am awaiting the arrival of my S2K and have a question - does the car come shipped with plugs over the front license plate bracket mounting holes, or is this an acessory that much be purchased somewhere?

The plugs come with the car. Many dealers, however, seem to lose them when they put a front plate holder on. Make sure your dealer knows that you want the plugs.

While you're at it, check out the S2Ki checklist for S2000 pickup. The plugs are there, plus a whole lot more:

Good luck with your new ride. You're going to love it!

I found mine in a plastic bag in the trunk along with other misc. hardware. I ultimately wussed out on going without the front plate (unlawful in TX) and donated the plugs to Greg Stevens for Scarlet II. The dealer should give you the plugs; they should have your's as well as a collection of them from previous front plate installs.

If anybody's looking for them, I have an extra set of yellow plugs. My dealer's prep-guy told me he usually puts them in the storage bin when he's prepping a car for delivery. I didn't see them so I ordered a new set (about $10 US) and of course found them in the storage bin (exactly where he said they were) the same day I picked-up my new set.

PS - try to get the dealer not to install the front plate holder in the first place. The one they put on mine left a tiny nick in the paint.

lvs2k, are you the owner of the red S2k I saw travelling on Harwood Rd about a month ago? It was a gorgeous red S2k, first I'd actually seen driving on a road.

What caught my eye is that you have Bedford, TX listed as where you're from. I work in Bedford (in the tall Wells Fargo building right off of 183), and live in Euless (thus the Harwood commute). Maybe we should get together sometime to swap s2k stories and oogle over our cars
