Default Front license plate bracket hardware question

Hey guys, I just purchased my first S and I need to attach the license plate bracket to the car to mount the front plate. Unfortunately the car didn't come with any hardware to mount it. Does anyone know the type of bolts needed to attach the mount to the car?

I appreciate your help!!

Lots of different solutions to this issue. I recommend cutting the plate down to the smallest legal size and making it mount inside the grill. There is a plastic attachment point.

I looked at the grill-mounted ones and it was a lot of zip-tie's or hacks, plus you're blocking airflow. I ended up with one of these:

(edit: while you're there, pick up some of his clear or smoked fender side-markers)

I wasn't a fan of the chrome/shiny color so I sprayed it with black rustoleum (laguna blue S2000).

Best bet on the clear side markers are the OEM CR ones--- thay're about $20 for the pair. Any Honda dealer can order them for you and have them in a couple of days.

There is a nut in the center of the grill that the plate bracket attaches to. I just drilled a hole in the plate and attached it with one bolt to that nut.

There are a lot of possible solutions to the front plate mount problem. It depends on how you want to approach it. Do a search here and you'll find everything from tow hook mounts to hide-aways and custom DIY solutions too.

The OEM bracket has a lot of pluses to it, but you have to make sure you get all of the bits. Btw, the OEM bracket does a nice job of protecting the nose if you happen to get too close to a wall or something.

The plastic mount for the plate needs an extra clip and stuff at the bottom edge of it. From what I can see of it in the schematic (and what I recall removing from my car when I bought it in 2007 -- I still have all the original pieces but I'm not willing to part with them), you would need items 14, 32, 54, 36, 10, 8, 37, and possibly 36.

If you don't want the OEM bracket, but still want to use the OEM mount points, the nicest one (IMO) is the one jimmy-buffett mentioned above.
