front lip scrapes
Am I the only one that does this all the
time? I try to be really careful about it but parking lots and driveways get me all the time. I just had the front bumper cover repainted as a little "extra" on someone else's insurnace (they backed into me, did minor damage to fender) and would like some advice on keeping it looking nice.
Thanks,
Bryan

You're not the only one. For a while I had the Coastal Metals front bumper protector http://app.infopia.com/Shop/Control/Produc...sid/0/SFV/14050 and it was great until I was hit by a little twit here in my town, ruined the bumper protector and I never got a new one. I recommend it, does a great job of saving the front bumper when you think that curb is just low enough...
just be able to spot the danger zones, and take them at angles. I have an amuse lip and a slammed car, and I rarely scratch. My driveway is pretty darn steep as well. It's all about driving the car at an angle when there is dips or speed bumps and such.
We tend to drive at an angle if crossing a driveway with a drainage ditch or speed bumps. Looking into getting a lip protector from Coastal Metals. Hopefully that will minimize leaving paint on curbs, roads
and having to get the lip repainted.

Going at an angle is the only way not to scrape. I go at an angle and I still scrape most of the time, as my car is also slammed, and I have an Amuse style lip that is only 2.75 inches off the ground.
Total bill for the repair was about $400, they repainted the bumper cover for "free"...I'm sure they padded the bill to cover it, but since I wasn't paying, I didn't much care.
