Default Front Window Warranty?

Last night my front window cracked. This is the first problem i've had with my S. I think it cracked due to the rain and the cold plus having the front defroster on high with the temperature on high. I couldn't see any signs of a pebble hitting the window or anything. It just looks like when you put a hot beaker into cold water and it cracks(science talk). Is this covered under warranty? I have never had this happen to any car before.

I've heard of this happening to other makes of cars from an improperly fitted windshield, so it can happen. My personal experience has always been that cracks get started from a stone chip. I recently had a ding filled in my Jeep and the windshield cracked anyway.

Seems like it would be covered under warranty if it wasn't from a stone chip. Just my guess though.

no warranty brother, the 03 elements have been crackin due to the vertical degree of the windshield and most likely objects hitting it. i handle about 50 s2k owners at a dealership and no broken windshieds. if you have collision it is free to replace from your insurance company and i do believe there is no deduct. i'm not sure on that one though, good luck, if you need help just pm me
peace
