you're correct. I've had to learn this, and I'm turning much better, much smoother now.
It's to the point where my right foot doesn't get near the brake while I'm turning;
I down shift into 3rd or 2nd gear just before I'm turning (smoothly), and just as I'm straightening
out, I'm upshifting into 3rd or 4th, depending on how sharp the turn is. I will brake 50 feet
before the turn, but once I commit to the turn, it's all shifting then acceleration. I think the key
point is "smoothly."

Thanks for all of the help guys. It was tire pressure. I had 7psi different between my two back wheels. HI50 lives in my area and he came and checked out my car. No spacers, just different tire pressure.

I know the 18"s would hurt the torque, but the handling would improve. When you run a tiny sidewall, it is stiff as hell, there for, no give. When your running a thicker sidewall, it flexes and does not grip as well.
