Full race or not?
Contemplating weather or not to convert to full race. What do you think the weight savings would be if it took out all the carpet and interior including door panels and stuff? What kind of difference will it make in the 1/4 mile? .5? I don't know. Comments?

Grr..... The wing isn't just for looks. I need it for when I'm doing speed trials. As for the other two... the OEM front spoiler is very tasteful and subtle. The turbo badge is black on black so as to also be subtle. How bout we settle this at the track?
I should have my new clutch installed next week... Whaddaya think?

Sorry Jenner... under a bunch of pressure here at work. Didn't mean to snap at you. :-/ My bad. I will be going to Bonneville next August. I have been going to Maxton, NC. They have an abandoned military air strip that they use. It's a 1 mile run through the sped traps then you have about a mile to slow down. I hit 137 before in Installed the turbo. I'm going to loose a bunch of weight and I've added about 150 rwhp. I'm hoping to be able to hit 160ish this time. I have had the car up to about 160 on the street and it's rock solid.
In the Bonneville speed trials, top speed is an equation involving power and air resistance. Weight isn't much of a factor, unless you only have a limited amount of room to accelerate.
Also for high-speed runs, I would highly recommend NOT taking off the front spoiler. It's utility in the aerodynamic realm is far more useful than any weight benefit you'd get from taking it off.
