Full race or not?
Yes, definitely talk to Prolene about weight saving. The interior of his car looks like somoene stole everything. It has no carpet and no passenger seat. He even took off the soft top and mechanism and replaced it with a carbon fiber hardtop. He really saved a lot of weight.

One thing to consider is that much of the carpet has sound deadening material under it. This material weighs more than the carpet itself. Take off the 8" by 10" square piece of carpet that is right behind the driver's seat for an example...it's rather heavy for it's size. If you wanted to lose some weight, but keep the OEM full interior look, you could take out all of the sound deadening materials from the carpet and door panels (is there any?) and what-not.
