While the Moonrock and Sebring(previous color) are in the same color group, I really don't think SS and MC couldn't live together. I'll take some more pics of my bay to show you the cut-off lines and such. I've already taken off the new airbox cover and gold spark plug cover- so look past that.

Did you spray it yourself or have a shop do it? And I'd love to see some good closeups.

Looking forward to the pictures FF2Skip, I am thinking of doing MCB in the fall. The engine bay will stay silver. I think it will look good. It will keep the engine bay nice and bright. I just have not seen any pictures yet. If I do it, the cut off lines will be hidden under the hood seals.

mbilderback, I dont think silver and another color will look half assed. If the engine bay was yellow or red then it would look bad but not silver.

How about you, Road Rash, you gonna spray it yourself? I plan on whippin' out my novice spraying skills and going to town. It'll be a learning experience. And I expect it to take 4times longer than someone who has done it before, but I think with time and patience I can get a superb looking paint job since I'm willing to spend copius amounts of time on the project.

NO WAY! I WOULD #$%^ IT UP IF I DID IT MYSELF

Seriously, I painted a boat a few years ago. It was a challenge, lots of prep work to do. I had to wait for the right conditions because we had no spray booth (had to use garage). Although the paint came out great according to other people I saw lots of flaws that other people did not and it bugged me. I dont want to take that chance with my car.

Good luck to you if you are going too though. Just be sure to take your time. And dont forget the fine details like post prep work, color sanding Etc.

Yeah, I plan on doing a lot of research before hand and there's a project (not mine) that I can help on to get some experience before I risk my car. I was even considering getting some junkyard useless body parts and fixing/spraying those.
