Default Which Fuse to pull to reset ECU?

I have seen the posts about about pulling a fuse to reset the ECU but cannot find which one it is. For obvious reasons it's not listed in the manual. I would prefer to do this, than remove the battery cable, more work and then you need to set the radio etc. again. Please explain it to me like I'm 6 years old. I've already looked for it and cannot find it.

Does resetting the ECU wipe out the OBDII codes? I'm not sure I want to roll in to the dealer showing that I've banged the fuel shut off rev limiter a few times.

Thanks!
Andy

The car keeps track of how many times you hit the rev limiter???
There are SO MANY things I don't know!!!!!

so this back up fuse, is it in the fuse box in the car? the one by the drivers feet? or the one under the hood. And am I correct to pull it for 15 min?

mjcohen- any car equiped with OBDI or OBDII will keep track of everything. The tattle on you if you hit the rev limit, hit the speed limiter, etc. etc. Dealer have been known to refuse warranty work based on "abuse", there evidence is the numbers stored in the ECU by the OBD system.

FYI OBD= on board diagnostics

Like Mike said, 2nd fuse down on the right side of the drivers foot well fuse block. It's the third slot down because the top spot is empty on the US cars. The one you want is between a 15 Amp (blue) and another 7.5 Amp (brown) fuse.
10-15 seconds has always done the job for me, maybe longer is needed for something but I haven't encountered it yet
