Just got a question about putting NOS in the S... Do you think it's worth it? And what kind of shot (50, 75, 100) would be safe to run? Thanks

Personally, I wouldn't do it. I might consider supercharger though. But if you are a good mechanic then it might be less troublesome since you can constantly fine tuning it.

I think it depends on what type of nitrous set up you are planning on using. If you're thinking about a dry set-up (Zex, Venom, NOS, etc.) then it's a bad idea. The S2000 is very well tuned from the factory and with a dry set-up it's pretty much impossible to ensure even distribution to the cylinders. If you're considering direct port then that is a much better route but I wouldn't start out any higher than a 60-75 shot. Direct port is a much more expensive route but the performance gains are much higher and it's safer. Some of the manufacturers will tell you that you can't run less than a 75 shot with direct port. You can ignore them, you can have a good mechanic jet it down to a 60 shot without any problem. Direct port is definitely the best bang for your buck. You can spend $2,500-$3,000 on a NICE direct port set-up and go find you some C5's to beat down.

honestly?

since you asked...

i think that NOS for an S2000 is really stupid. for what it's worth my feelings are that if someone wants a drag car then they should buy a car that is designed for the purpose or which can be easily and affordably modified for the purpose. examples would be a TT Supra (of course), a 'Vette, a Civic hatch or CRX or a Mustang Cobra.

just my $0.02 worth.

Just a question? Did you just go and see 'The Fast and the Furious' movie? Just wondering.

You could run a 50-80 shot kit all day long. Just ensure you kit is installed properly and you take the necessary precautions. I`ve been using giggle gas since 93 in various cars and have had nothing but positive experiences.

Good luck!
