Default Fuuuu S2000 down...

Sitting in the parking garage, waiting for this car infront of me to go forward, I look over and I see reverse lights. I'm thinking, "There's no way". Soon as I saw this, an old lady just backed right into my QP. I posted some bad pictures, how bad is this damage? I'm so sad...

Obviously due to the little pictures you can't tell much, sorry. The paint chipped off, it's creased on the wheel well and it extends to the top of the QP.

I'm no expert but you're probably looking at a new quarter panel, paint, and paint blend on the adjacent panels so it doesn't look out of place (unless your paint is in perfect, no-sun-fade condition or you find a badass paint matcher who can get the replacement panel spot-on).

The panel will need a stud pull, skim coat, prime/paint/blend.
Spa is hard to match. Rio a little easier.
Start getting references from folks you know and trust who have had bodywork done in your area so you'll know where to go. Good luck.

I'm waiting to hear from the insurance adjuster to have him look at the damage and costs. Luckily the other lady admitted it's her fault and she carries full insurance. I guess that's good that Rio is easier to match, but I don't want to settle with half ass work you'll be able to notice. I see this being a long battle. She tapped my rear tire too so I'm going to pull the alignment card, my ABS light is on now so hopefully I can rack the cost up.

Dang, I hate seeing threads like this. My rio got backed into last year while it was parked, and this reminds me way too much of that. I echo the suggestion of getting a good place to do the work, but even so rio is a tricky color. Mine is slightly off depending on the light conditions, and while not many people can tell the difference, I can and it really bugs me. I've seen a lot of body work and I hate blend jobs on cars. Make sure it's up to standard, and hope the other party's insurance is somewhat reputable in owing up to what they are responsible for. It can be a nightmare to deal with.
Best of luck with the situation, keep us posted!
