He wasn't- fish22 is a great guy. Keep in mind that text on these forums is completely devoid of tone- stuff may seem harsh, but sometimes the poster does not want to come across in such a fashion. You have to have a thick skin sometimes and turn your sensitivity down when on these and any other forums.
Yeah, didnt mean for that to come across as a 'smart-ass' comment.
closest thing is probably HKS with non-resonated test pipe. or maybe GReddy Ti-C with non-resonated test pipe. but you'll never get it to sound just like the G35/350Z.
and using their exhaust won't do much because they have 2 exhaust manifolds and we have 1

Personally I don't want my S to sound like a G35. I think it's cool that they have their own tone that you can recognize 2 blocks away. Wish the OEM exhaust on the S would've been more distinctive himself.
you'll never make an s2000 sound like a g35 unless you swap the VQ35 into the engine bay.
It really is the engine thats the major contributing factor into the sound of the exhaust. Thats why the 350z, G35, Pathfinder, FX35, M35, etc all sound identical......

adding just an aem v2 intake makes the s2000 sound much more beastly when you get on the throttle, and adding the test pipe helps to give your car a more distinct sound when you accelerate, without necessarily increasing the volume of the sound much.
almost all s2000's with exhausts that i've heard of in person drones pretty bad when cruising...

Then why does the FX35 sound the same as the FX45....

now they do have similar exhausts if not the same, so I will grant you that they do have similar sounds, but they are still different due to the engine

The reason the G35 sounds the way it does, is because it is a V6 with DOHC per cylinder bank.
it sounds like that because the sound engineer modify the exhaust and related components.
