GAS DOOR?!
I miss the good ol' days on this site when people would post up threads about "How do I open the gas door" or "What secret compartment".
In the good ol' days, members in the 'know' didn't share the information. It was far too entertaining to read about the frustrations of those owners that didn't know of the public "secrets" about the car. It was a great opportunity to antagonize those that were scared of being on 3 bars of gas and being stuck at the gas station for 30 minutes at a time trying to figure out the necessities.
There are some classic threads to read that are great time killers if anyone wants to search for them.

i found the black nob within seconds, but i kept pressing it instead of pulling. It took me 15 minutes to figure it out.

That's a first.

When I was looking at my '05 at Honda, the dealer couldn't find 8 disc cd changer or gas thing. We knew there was a cd changer but I was not going to buy the car until the guy firgured out where it was.
Sadly another dealer didn't know how to put the top down.
When I test drove the first S2000 at Honda dealership, we stopped to get gas and the salesman could not find the release either. Hell, that was the 2nd time I've ever been inside a S2000 so I didn't know either. We poked around, popped the trunk, then I finally found the release. Its funny, but a poor user interface (I guess Honda is allowed one screw up
)I eventually found my NFR at a Hyundai dealership and the freakin salesman knew about the gas release!!!
BTW, I didn't have the manual either, so the salesman gave me the manual out of another S2K on the lot. A few months later, when I started lurking this forum, I found out about the secret compartment, and found the original manual! With original receipts and paperwork. So I took the second manual back and the dealer forwarded the manual to the other owner!
Hey guys, if you can't find the manual, try looking behind the passenger seat. I had my car for over a year before realizing there is a pouch on the back of the passenger seat. I found my manual, my missing lug key (already brought all new locks), and some other honda papers. I felt like a real dumbass!
