Gas gauge problem

Ok i need to get my car checked then. I get 170 miles tops in the city , and thats driving peacefully not hitting vtec in between every red light or anything.

what might be wrong?

Red,

I can't help now. The symptoms you describe happened to me when I got my first S2K. I asked the service manager and she said that one of the other models does something similar and see if its the same issue. Sure enough it was.

Check with your dealer about coverage. I would think this should be covered, but, I wouldn't bet on it.

When the gas light comes on, how much mileage do I have before I really run out of gas.

I drove my 00 all interstate to charleston, sc from tuscaloosa, al averaging 80 mph and VTEC'n for some kids in a scion tc on the highway and filled up at 290 miles. The gauge only showed 2 bars but it turns out i only needed 9.7 gallons of gas. That seemed crazy so i did the math and i was gettin 29.999 miles to the gallon.....it took me under 18 gal to go 530+ miles.
