On the gas gauge, there are the string of orange tick marks indicating how much fuel you have left. To the left of the orange ticks appears to be a red tick (i.e., you're out). The leftmost orange tick appears to not be working (it does not light up, even though the others do). I plan to take it in to check this out under warranty, but has anyone else had this problem?

 

Do a search, this is standard

 

Mac is correct..there is always one "light" which is not really a light which is out. It is at the far left of the scale just as you describe. Don't embarass yourself by going to the dealer....

 

Just so you can be sure, This IS normal. You probably didn't notice it at first.

 

Funny, i just noticed this before I filled up 5 minutes ago...Oh well, problem solved!

 

Just to make sure, go count the orange tick marks after you fill up (or after turning the ignition ON and can count really fast). There should be a total of 20 tick marks, ten above and ten below the center white tick mark.

 

Thanks for the info! My gf "noticed" it, and when I looked, it looked out to me, but I'll take another look and count the ticks.
