I commute daily round trip of 55 miles strictly on highway and have been averaging 29-31mpg. 70-80mph without hitting vtec. Around town I average 24-26mpg with vtec engaging. When I have fun more like high teens/ low 20's.

 

I had 33mpg on a long trip once with my first S2k.

When I went to tennessee, I was getting 29mpg. the gears probably made it go down a little.
