Default Gas pedal nobs

Should the gas pedal have the nobs as the break, clutch, and foot-rest (for 2002's) pedals have?

Thanx

No, the accelerator pedal has shorter ones, that are below the surface of the pedal. You want the accelerator to be a bit slippery, for control. But the rubber's extend above the metal on clutch/brake for grip - you don't want to slide off either.

Although I find it curious how a slippery gas pedal offers more control, I'll take your word for it. I was just concerned that my gas (accelerator for those not speaking "American" ), was missing the rubber nobs.

Thanx Brian

You know...I already know how to do heal/toe techniques. I think the problem that prompted my question and response was that I completely slipped off my pedal after walking through the snow. Plus, having still been in the break-in period, I was not thinking about performance. I was thinking about keeping the back wheels planted and the RPM's low.

Good point though Utah. Having learned from my father (who was an amateur racer...Opel GT), I know a few tricks. I'm curious what I'd learn in a driving course.

Now, I know to wipe off my foot first. Unfortunately, the floor mats are acrylic. Not much absorption. (But they clean well.)
