Default Gauges in an S2000

If I want to put some basic gauges in the S2000 what do I need?

I dont have a supercharger or anything so I'd want just oil pressure and engine temp.

CAn I just use regular autometer gauges? Where can I get an A-Pillar pod?

I have a comptech supercharger and just installed an autometer "NV" gauge and I love it. I got the gauge and the pod from www.summitracing.com. The pod covers the existing pillar so you don't have to remove the original at all. Some may say its not neccessary but if you like the look of the gauges then go for it!

a-pillar pod any censor and wires

you cant have engine temp

exhaust temp? you have to tap your exhaust manifold for that

autometer would work fine im sure

but i would go with DEFI gauges really nice and accurate you have get the controll unit as well

engine temp was the wrong word. coolant temp I guess is more accurate. i will check out the defi gauges. do most sending units come with install instructions? Can someone explain the install process for the 2 things i want to monitor?

oil temp would probably work too. basically something that will let me confirm the engine is up to temp before getting into it. i know the temp gauge on the dash is there, but id rather have something with numbers...

Yes they do have a coolant temp guage, it's called water temp.

As for pillars, which one keeps the window defrost vent?

for a NA setup, i'd want AFR, oil pressure. you dont need EGT, or temp really, but AFR and OP are important to a tuned NA car.

I would say that oil pressure is the one that you would want the most.
Gauges are really not necessary if your car is stock though!
