Default Gear change noises!!

Had my S2000 GT for a week now; fantastic car.

However when changing gear, i get a strange "growl" as i engage the clutch. Is this caused by me not disengaging the clutch pedal quick enough?

I get that a lot, don't know what it is, but slow release of the clutch is probably it.

i only get the growl when i engage the clutch from 1st gear. i guess the noise is from the clutch grabbing. i've driven lots of s2k's at my job and they all make this noise.

Ha ha...finally...someone that hears what I used to always hear when I changed gears. I'm much better now....I got that sound when I let the clutch out too slow. Now, I let the clutch out faster and gas faster...so that seems to help. Kind of hard to do those 2 things fast and smooth...but all the times I've really tried to do all my foot work faster....gear changing felt much smoother and that growl sound everytime I changed gears went away.
I still hear that noise often, but at least I learned why my car made that noise so I just keep practicing.
My boyfriend's been driving manual a LLLOOONNNGGG time...and he still makes that growl sound from time to time...I guess no one can always drive the car in perfect synchro.

P.S---still learning....

You have a GT huh? Is that like the type R that was suppose to be around a while back or is it a Great Britain thing?
