what happen if we add a lighter flywheel with 4.77 gears in a NA S2000? Good combo or not?

 

It would be a great combo. Driving a stock geared car around town with a light weight flywheel is rather difficult, but the lower gears will make it much easier. The 1st thing I noticed after installing my 4.77s was how much easier it was to get the car going without feathering the clutch.

 

does anybody know the rpm difference when driving at highway speeds with the 4.57 vs 4.77...i do a lot of highway driving at about 80mph or so and i know that my engine sounds like it working crazy hard if i leave it in 5th...i figured thats what rpm it would be at if i had gears...i could b wrong though..i dont want to be to clost to vtec point with short gears or my gas milage is gonnna go to shit...

 

The 4.77s will put you at 5200 rpm at 80mph in 6th gear. once in a while I take the toy to work, 75 miles each way, 60 of that on the highway. Today I filled up and checked my gas milage. I set the cruise at 80-85, got 25mpg not bad . Think about it the car revs to 9k, hanging at 5200 for an hour is no big deal.
