I like how simple you made this. Obviously, the higher the gear ratio the faster you are going to go through the gears. But, changing gears is not exactly a cheap or minor upgrade, so it would be wise to plan ahead. Say, with your car how it sits now, you are going to feel a substantial difference if you go with 4.77's over the stock 4.10's. But next year you decide its not enough, add some boost and crank up the power, those 4.77's could get you through the gears faster, but not in a good way. Also remember, the higher the gear ratio, the higher the rpm's while cruising on the highway. So, what do you mostly use the car for, and what are your future plans with the power?
I loved the 4.77's for daily driving.. Tons of highway driving as well. Don't get gears thinking it is going to make the car feel a TON faster though. Just makes it feel more peppy basically.
When I removed them and went back to stock I really didn't notice much of a difference at all. Highway pulls with the gears the car felt slower since you had to shift so quickly. Around town the gears definitely felt better.

installation should be over a couple hunderd right?
and i dont go high way much. mostly local or free ways,
so that shouldnt be to much of a factor, and i dont mind the high revs

That video looks like someone mis shifted..
You can buy the 4.77's for like $250 from Kia. Installation could be a bit from a trusted place. Plus you have to pull your diff and re install as well. If your not doing that yourself figure $200+ to remove and reinstall it and a few hundred at least I would think to install the gears in the pumpkin.
I bought mine from Hardtopguy and was perfect. Zero gear whine at all.
You also need to buy a speedo calibrator and install that since your mph will be off by 16% with the 4.77's.
