Quick Question, Would a Comptech SC, aftercooler, and a full exhaust put a 2.0 S2000 in the 12's? Could the OEM Tranny, Clutch, and Rear End handle that set up of power?

I would guess that longevity would be a serious issue...

My brothers friend did 12.7 in a quarter mile in his S2K with the Comptech SC here in Irwindale California. He had the aftercooler, single 3 inch exhaust, new clutch ,and ofcourse had work done to the internals, dont know what for sure dont really talk to him. Maybe he should of done better I dont know but I say that is a good 1/4 time for being the first time out there, even it took him a couple of runs to pull it off. So yeah you can hit the 12's with the Comptech SC, with the right amount of money and tunning. It shouldnt be as expensive as a Turbo. And dont have to worry about the maintence AS MUCH as if you had a turbo, So I hear!!!!. Im looking into getting the Comptech SC my self real soon..

Yeah your right, SC's are pretty much bolt and play. An extra 100-108 Horse power, and more torque. But it wont get you into the 12's. More like the 13's just with the SC itself and no other modifications. About how much tunning, im looking into that 2. Ive gotten so many good ideas from others here regarding tunning a Turbo or a SC. Im doing my homework before I get the Comptech SC.

You have to clarify which question you are asking and which question you want answered.

Man... $5000 won't even shave one second off of this cars' 1/4 mile time. That really sucks.

Ultimate Racing is trying to sell product. They'll say almost anything, exagerate almost anything, push the truth to the limit. If and when I see this on an actual owner's car, reported by him that all that was spent was $5500.00 and nothing more and throws up a timeslip, THEN I'll believe it. Don't believe everything you see on the internet.

Dave is correct. The closest I've seen to a 12sec s2000 was a guy in PR who had a SC AND Nitrous (and more stuff that he wouldn't specify). Of note, he blew his diff when making the 12 sec run.
A comptech alone will not get into 12s.
Regarding turbo, I've met several owners of t-charged cars and each says it is headache...lots of tuning.
