Power to weight ratio is very good with the car. The lag time I have experienced is the first gear jump. Keeping the car in Vtec at the launch and to first gear can be tricky and hard on the car. I forget where it is but one owner on this forum was at 13.5 at around 106 or 107. That mph should be a good sign for a 12.9-13.2 run and maybe even a couple more mph. You are afterall adding an easy 100hp to the car but due to the fact the car is hard to launch the average guy is only going to see an increase in the mph not the actual track time. That is why so many mags only see a 13.8 at 107 for track times. The launch and wheelspin will kill the whole thing. My firend with his Civic experiences some similar things and runs easy 13.1@115. That trap is just insane for such a slow quarter time. In most rigs that is an easy mid 12. So driver is going to be the biggest key with a clutch and flywheel set-up that will hold. Don't forget the diff for it will break shortly there of the first run (maybe). The diff may break or not who really knows. Removal of the spare, tool kit, and going to a TI single exhaust will help the quest. So will a lighter header and may pick up some hp once you switch to the SC but not likely before. Get some good tuning and away you go. I personally think the 10lb pulley with an AEM system will net the desired results but will cost you an extra $2000.

I agree too. A local here has the Vortech, Spugen exhaust and 4.57s. It's all tuned with a VAFC and he made 318 rwhp on a Dynpack. He took it to the strip and pulled a 13.04 and missed 4th gear.


Of course, on the very next pass he blew out his CV joints

The whole idea I think here is to have a the enjoyable drive of teh S with a 12 second grunt. With were the power comes on with the supercharger it makes it more difficult to run 12's with just that. If you want twelves call Ultimate Racing and talk to them about the turbo kit. I will have my S in the twelves. Why???? Because it is an S. For me it is the car of choice. Why buy a Ferrari?? Because it is what you want. The S will always in my book look better than most cars for less that go faster. Even though my car is not the fastest in my group it gets the most attention. Why. Because even though the other guys are faster the crowd just wishes they could have bought an S.
