To get rid of the S or not to?

Most of people gets tired of looking at same looks tho. Performance is second when it comes down to daily car. Gotta ask yourself, are you not going to tire of looking at same looks for another few years? Or do you feel like to try out something diff since you are at the moment can switch the car.
IMO, i don't think it is worth it to trade in to newer S2k...idk just me.

Yeah i feel you, maybe its not worth to get a newer one either, if i did that would mean same thing for at least another 3-4 more years.. honestly don't think i'll be all that happy by then
Maybe sounds stupid, but I'm sure it will help you at some point.
I actually test drove the 370z (with sport pkg) before I bought my CR. 370z is a very nice car but it seemed much heavier during hard cornering. When I took the rpms close to the red line, there was a buzzing noise from the engine that was not so pleasant. I'm reading a lot of articles from car mags that they are having oil cooler issues and rear diff issues. If you want a 370z, I would wait for the 2011 model or just go with the CR.

Good piece of advice in keeping the S until is paid off, something I'm leaning towards that a lot more; however, to answer your and others question one "major" maintenance that seems to be due somewhat soon is: a new soft top (or new hardtop), already has one rip and vinyl overall doesn't look 100% (unfortunately i don't have a garage
) , that plus new clutch = lets say $2k-3k easy (or more) in maintenance that on my book is pretty major.
Again i will not argue with you on the uniqueness of the S Vs the Z there are a million and a half Zs out there, i guess because you get more bang for the buck ect, more value for your money?
and as per mods yes i am aware that you always loose some times more than other but you do specially if you dump in thousands of dollars in mods, parts depreciate with use just like the car.
but either way yeah I'm contemplating more and more the idea on just staying with it at least until its paid off that would be this coming January, hopefully it wont depreciate too much by then...
if so, should i just do the clutch now? if i "might" get rid of it in January?
soft top?

I could not give you an objective answer without driving a (current) Z for awhile, and my current S.
Maybe this will help, do you have any current debt? Credit cards, house, other cars, anything? Get debt free first, then go for whatever you want. In this economy, unless you have a surplus of cash, if you lose your job you can be screwed for years. I did this about a year ago, before buying the S, and felt so happy, seeing all that paycheck goto whatever you want was so nice!

Budget/money thoughts = If the $2-3k in maintenance is more than you would get into debt buying a Z, go for it.

And as per maitanance on the s, again those 2-3k I would put into it would go (besides the use I give it) go after in the garbage cause NObody will payme for those parts when I sell the car. As per getting the z there would be 0 money coming from my pocket cause the s would be the down payment, I just have to worry about monthly payments.
I know by now I'm convince that I should definatly wait on it because of the bug the zs are hacing now anyways.
