I can get anywhere from 28mpg to as low as 12mpg in my S (these numbers are mpg averages of an entire tank).

My Insight will do better then both- sorry it's the only thing about the daily driver that I can brag about.

My '98 Type SH officially gets 23/27 MPG city/highway, so I assume the gas mileage for a 2000 is similar. My long-term combined average over 83K miles is a measly 23 MPG, though.

I think my average is about 24-25 MPG. The best gas milage so far for me was 29 MPG including a passenger and a trunk full of luggage. I was cruising mostly at 75-80 MPH, and doing VTEC to redline after most toll booths.

I have averaged 29 mpg in the past with mixed driving situations, 1 or 2 VTECs per day. Remember that the 20/26 listed for the S is specified for a specific rpm range...if you keep your rpms lower, you'll get better mileage.
