Well as everybody can see I am new to this S2K family and next week I am picking up my brand new Silver/Red #200784. I must say that although I have been checking out this site for 4 months now, I am still not sure about some things concerning the maintenance of this car. I know it might sound weird coming from someone who is located so far away but I left a 340bhp pfs RX-7 for the S2K and it seems that I am going to dive into a sea of worries with this car... Anyway, my worries concern the recalls, tsb and 1st oil change. As I mentioned earlier my S/N is 200784 and when I asked the dealer about recalls such as the belt, his response was "I think that S/N series has already had the belt recall"!!! When I asked the same about the gearbox I got the same response! So is there a S/N that we know for sure that the recalls were actually performed in the car and e.g. the cars made with that S/N and above are OK or not? Concerning the oil change, we do not have 10-30 multigrade in Greece only 20-50 so what would the correct action be if I experiance low oil in 1500km(1000m)? I would never mix oil with another unknown oil. And finally, I am hearing things about the Diff. when should the 1st Differential oil change take place?

Hi Gus! Welcome to the club...you're going to have a blast with your S2000. Here's the thing that you should take into consideration. People post about problems here more than they post about postive things. I mean, the vast majority of owners here have had no problems with their cars and the ones that did/do things were taken care of by Honda, even if they had to deal with a moronic dealer. IN the US, Honda dealers don't have a very good reputation. So, all the talk of people should really be taken into perspective here...

Also, you may not know that there is a search function at the top of every page. The things you have mentioned wanting information on have all been covered in great detail. You can use the search function to look for topics of interest and I promise you that you will find more than you can imagine on the topic you are investigating...
