Default Getting ready to PULL THE TRIGGER!

I am ready to buy.
I found a 03 silver with 2600 miles at an acura dealer by my house.
They are asking $24995 for it.
I figure I can prob get it for $23000-23500.
My other option is an 04 with 10000 miles for $25500.
Which one is more fun to drive?
The higher redline in the 03 appeals to me because if you hit VTEC at 6000 rpm than you have 3000 more rpm to go before redline verses 2000 rpm for the 04.
What do you feel is the better choice from above?

Hopefully you've driven them both so you can feel the differences. I'd say go for the 03, you can't beat the long sweep of the tach to 9,000.

Jeesh.
I thought the infamous gun thread had been moved to a separate section.

Of those 2 I'd get the 03, cheaper, less miles, 9k redline.

The choice is clear to me - 03 is where to be!
One thing I have not mentioned on this forum yet is that I almost bought a 93 VTEC Prelude cause I loved the VTEC action but thought price was too high and that the VTEC range on that car (6000 to 8000 rpm) was too short. That is one reason why the early S2k's have my vote because of the larger VTEC range

Assume they're both in the same condition, get the '03.

Why don't you test drive both and see for your self what you think is more fun?

I'd say go 04 unless the 03 has less miles. I like all the changes made to the 04+ and the gearing has changed so when you want to be in VTEC, you stay in VTEC, even though the VTEC range is smaller. And if it's that big of a concern to you, Apex'i makes a great little tool call a VAFC that you can adjust the VTEC engagement among other things. All in all you'll be happy in what ever you buy. Both cars will be more fun than anything you're driving right now.
