I have a 2000 S2000, and I was wandering if there is any way to put the newer back glass so I can get rid of that vynal material thats hard to see through? If so, what will I need to do this and how much will it cost me??????

 

I have asked this question in the past. After some research, it sound like you'll need to remove your top completely and purchase a brand new one and have it installed. I have heard this is in the neighborhood of $4,000. The mechanics of the soft top and hard top are different, they actually fold down different, aparently. This is why you have to replace the whole thing. There are some who believe all you need to do is replace the back piece. This usually comes from glass back owners, because they don't car about doing this mod.

problem is the labor and i'm not really sure how much all the materials cost...honda dealer maybe?

i think the 02-04 top in black can be had for about $850.

you need to modify the frame a little so the glass can lay flat when the top folds. you don't NEED to replace the whole frame. Of course, doing this mod isn't perfect, but most who do it seem happy. BTW, the glass window is a bit smaller than the plastic one.
