Do the key's turn the lock?

Do the release buttons go in, or not?

perhaps there's something inside that has jammed the whose-it. Try jiggling the handle.

well i got pissed lol and stuck a nice fat screwdriver in the key hole and gave it a turn. did the trick of allowing me to push the side button in now so i can once again open and close the door, BUT....... key still doesn't fit in the hole so I am no longer able to lock it. oh well, at least i can use the glove box again, just no locking it. no damage done from looking at it, just functional damage
